Your Responsibilities

• Proofreading of BA, MA, seminar papers, and doctoral dissertations
• Correction of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
• Improvement of clarity and academic style (without altering content or arguments)
• Checking and correcting citations, references, and formatting consistency
• Ensuring linguistic accuracy and readability

Important

This role focuses on language correction only. Content evaluation, grading, or academic assessment is not part of the work.

Requirements

• Native or native-level proficiency in English, German, French, or Spanish
• Strong command of academic writing conventions
• Degree in Linguistics, Languages, Translation, or related fields preferred
• Experience in academic proofreading is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with academic citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.)
• Experience with Word and/or PDF annotation tools

All work is performed manually by human proofreaders. AI-generated editing or automated rewriting tools are not part of our workflow.
